I visited the pie chest and lone light coffee this past pie day. The shop is adorable, the pie is incredible, and the coffee is pretty darn good. The drip coffee is well balanced, and a great addition to a pie. The baristas clearly know what they are doing, and the espresso drinks are well balanced and delicious.

Great little coffee and pie shop. Stopped in on a cold day and got a latte and a snack. Highly recommend for walking around in downtown Charlottesville for anyone to stop in and have some delicious pie and coffee

When paying a premium price for a premium caffeine beverage, you want high quality, consistently. There is a lot of competition in town, but Lone Light takes the prize of 'best of' for us because of their consistency and excellence. Lone Light totally understands that 'part-time' or 'new employees' should not have their training subsidized by the patrons - and I respect that.

Lone Light is a superb coffee shop with the best espresso in town and friendly staff. You can get basic pastries, and they now have waffles for a big snack. Very fast wifi and nice street view from the front window seats. Can get crowded at times.

Lovely coffee shop off the mall. The plants are a charming touch. Comfy and cute with cheerful baristas. Delicious nitro cold brew! So so smooth and tasty. Free stickers, too? Too good not to visit again.

Incredible espresso drinks, probably the best cappuccino I have ever had in my life. My sister got the tea which comes in a pot to serve more than one cup, very delicious. I bet the pour overs are just as good. Super friendly staff and a nice place to sit and work!

Had a great cortado. They know what they’re doing! Shop’s a little small but there was enough seating when I got there on a Sunday morning.
